Haptic Sculpture

Merging electronic systems with sculptural forms originated in my sculptural practice of working with stone and metal, while discovering the active potentiality of the materials. To amplify these sensory and affective experiences, I create touch-sensitive, organ-like sculptures embedded with microcontrollers, speakers, and responsive sensors. Through this hybrid language of material and code, these objects seek to evoke a technological affect in a visceral response.
